Waldport Community Celebration Held at Oregon Coast Bank

Waldport, OR – More than 100 area residents visited Oregon Coast Bank’s Waldport office last Friday as the bank hosted an end of summer barbecue. “We thought it was an ideal time to hold a customer appreciation event,” explained Lynn Thomson, manager of the bank’s Waldport office. “A lot of our customers are local merchants who deserve a party after having worked so hard during our heaviest tourism months.”

Fortunately it was a gorgeous day as the crowd spilled out into the parking lot, where Oregon Coast Bank employees grilled hot dogs and kielbasa. Most customers tried their hand at a South County Landmarks contest, during which they were asked to identify 11 locations from photographs. Ben Johnson of Waldport and Nichola Chudzik of Tidewater tied for first place with perfect scores, each winning Pendleton stadium blankets for their efforts. Winning an Oregon Coast Bank thermos for third place was Joe Penzola of Tidewater.

“We’re pleased that so many people were able to attend our barbecue,” said Thomson. “We love being part of the Waldport community and this event gave us a great way to say thanks to our customers.”
